"I want to express my sincere apologies": Bakary Samake asks for forgiveness after the release of a compromising video

For several hours, a video has been circulating on social media implicating Bakary Samake. On a sidewalk, next to a car and a man filming the scene, a woman can be seen performing oral sex on the French boxer.
Samake (22) was quick to react and apologize on his Instagram account: "An inappropriate video is currently circulating without my consent, in violation of my privacy," he wrote. "I would like to express my sincere apologies to anyone who may have been shocked, hurt or disappointed by this situation." The WBC-Silver super-welterweight champion added that "this situation in no way reflects the values I defend, nor the person I want to be."
He then attacks the people who published the video: "I learned with pain that some people I thought were my friends were not, and that jealousy and blackmail can push some to deliberately harm." Faced with what he considers to be a "serious and profound betrayal" , Bakary Samake announces that he has taken legal action.
It is not known, however, when this video was taken. Nor whether the Aubervilliers native is facing sanctions, particularly from his federation. "I will fight to regain your trust, not with words, but with actions," he adds. The boxer, undefeated in 18 professional fights, is coming off a knockout victory against South African Roarke Knapp in mid-April .
